Hey guys, it's time to look @ the hottest Tag Team in all of WCW:
The Original Harlem Heat
Lane Hoffman and his young brother Booker Tio Hoffman also known as Stevie Ray and his brother Booker. T came to WCW after spending a few years with the GWF.
In the early 90's Harlem Heat became a hot new Tag Team and soon, they became part of the Wargames in 1993.
But in 1994, Harlem Heat would soon unite with the late Sherri Martel and in December of that year, they won their 1st World Tag Team Championship in WCW.
and soon, they would become the 7x WCW World Tag Team Champions def. many Tag Teams:
The likes of Stars & Stripes, The Nasty Boys, The Stud Stable, The American Males, Sting & Lex Luger, The Steiner Brothers and The Late Public Enemy.
In the summer of 1997, Sherri Quit WCW and Harlem Heat had a new manager, Jackie Moore, but in 1998 she jumped to the WWE, and in December of 1997, Booker T. was forced to wrestle in singles after Stevie Ray was injured, and in 1998, Harlem Heat went their separate ways when Stevie Ray joined the nWo, but in 1999, the duo reunited and they won 3 more World Tag Team Titles and together, they became the 10x WCW World Tag Team Champions.
However in 2000, Stevie Ray would soon turn on Booker T. again and he united with Big T. Ahmed Johnson and Kash as part of The New Harlem Heat 2000, but that was short-lived.
But on July 10, 2000, after Booker T. won the WCW World Heavyweight Title @ Bash @ the Beach 2000, Stevie Ray congratulated Booker T. on WCW Monday Nitro and then on Thunder The Original Harlem Heat reunited and they def. Jeff Jarrett and Rick Steiner.
However, in 2001 after WCW folded, Booker T. went on to sign w/the WWE and after 6 years, he and his wife Former WCW and WWE Valet Sharmell signed w/TNA and became TRUE Role Models.
and as for Stevie Ray, he is now retired full time from the ring and he is also an avid Motorcross fan, he continues to appear in Indy Shows as well as Wrestling Reunions, but he has no plans on signing with the WWE.
