Hey guys, I want to take you back to a moment 15 years ago as of December 27, 2008:
Starrcade '93
Steve Austin win his 1st United States Heavyweight Championship
Here's what happend:
Steve Austin has been an accomplished Singles Competitior when he won the NWA/WCW World Television Heavyweight Championship twice def. Beautiful Bobby Eaton and Barry Windham
and when he was with Flyin' Brian Pillman, they won the WCW World Tag Team Championship def. Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat and "The Franchise" Shane Douglas
But after the break-up of the Blondes, Austin teamed up with Roebrt Fuller better known as Col. Robert Parker and @ Starrcade came his rivalry with fellow Texan Dustin Rhodes
Rhodes who was then known as The Natural defended the WCW U.S. Heavyweight Championship against Stunnin' Steve Austin
This time, in a 2 out of 3 falls match
Rhodes was DQ'd during the 1st fall, but Austin would win the 2nd fall and become the US Heavyweight Champion for the very 1st time
Austin would hold on to the gold for 8 months
Before losing it to Ricky Steamboat in the Summer of '94
and now, 15 years later, Dustin Rhodes is back in the WWE for a 5th stint
Steve Austin, he is now doing movies and is still making appearances in the WWE
and Col. Parker Robert Fuller, he is still making appearances in the NWA and the Independent Scenes and he also appeared on TNA iMPACT! back in the Fall of 2006
and as for the U.S. Title, it is now in the WWE and is curretly around the waist of Shelton Benjamin
