Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Sgt. Slaughter, who has been working as a producer (agent) for the company for quite a few years, in addition to making occasional in-ring and on camera appearances, has been released.

Former WCW World Heavyweight Champion Ron Simmons, who has made sporadic TV appearances for his "Damn!" gimmick and done some promotional work for WWE in the last year or so, has also been released.

Well, the Ron Simmons "Damn!" gimmick was amusing but got stale quick so it's no surprise to see him released as he hasn't really contributed much to the on-screen product lately.

Im shocked that Slaughter was released. I hope TNA or even ROH takes advantage of this and hire him as he can be very usefull to any wrestling company with his experience.
