Now as you know, the WWE came up w/the European Heavyweight Championship

But many people don't know why they came up w/it:

While WCW and ECW still had the World Television Heavyweight Championships

The WWE decided that they wanted another championship, and so, they came up w/the European Heavyweight Championship.
