Hey guys, 10 years ago in 1998 was a sad year in WCW for the Tag Team Division.

1st off, 3 of the Greatest Tag Teams in Professional Wrestling Broke Up in WCW:

The Steiner Brothers, The Outsiders and Harlem Heat

@ SuperBrawl VIII, The Steiner Brothers defended the WCW World Tag Team Championship against The Outsiders and on that night, Scott Steiner turned on his Big Brother Rick Steiner "The Dog Faced Gremlin" and The Outsiders became the WCW World Tag Team Champions and Scott Steiner joined the nWo and became Big Poppa Pump.

However, @ Slamboree '98, Scott Hall would also turn on his Outsiders Tag Team Partner Kevin Nash, costing themselves the WCW World Tag Team Championship and on that night, STING and The Giant won the belts.

But, there was more to the story:

Harlem Heat broke up as well, when Booker T. was schedlued to have a match, his knee was injured and then, just when Stevie Ray was about to confront somebody, Bret Hart came out and offered Stevie Ray to join the nWo and soon, he made the decision to join the nWo and Stevie Ray said that he made his choice.

But as for the WCW World Tag Team Titles, there were no great Tag Teams ever since Slamboree.

STING and The Giant went to 2 different nWo factions, but then, STING won the titles for the Wolfpack and chose Kevin Nash as his Tag Team Partner.

But then, 8 days after Bash @ the Beach, Scott Hall and The Giant def. STING and Kevin Nash to win the Belts back to the nWo Hollywood, but @ Halloween Havoc, Rick Steiner won the belts back for Team WCW against Scott Steiner and The Giant and he chose Kaos as his Tag Team Partner.

Scott Hall, Scott Steiner and Stevie Ray joined the nWo Hollywood, Kevin Nash formed the Wolfpack and as for Booker T. and Rick Steiner, they still represented WCW.

Booker T. has been a successful singles competitor winning the WCW World Television Championship numerous times

Rick Steiner was injured until he came back in 1999 and came to the aide of Goldberg

Scott Hall was still lost in the shuffle

Stevie Ray didn't have much success as a singles competitor

and as for Kevin Nash and Scott Steiner, they both closed the year off as Champions

Scott Steiner def. Konnan to win the WCW World Television Championship (a title that he had never lost 1 on 1) for the 2nd time

and Kevin Nash closed the year off as the WCW World Heavyweight Champion def. Goldberg @ Starrcade '98

and now, 10 years later

Booker T., Kevin Nash and Scott Steiner are in TNA and Booker T. is also running PWA in Houston, TX while Scott Steiner is still wrestling in the NWA Mid-Atlatic Division

Rick Steiner appeared in 2007 in TNA, but today, he is still w/the NWA, even though he is no longer w/TNA

Scott Hall is still lost in the shuffle

and as for Stevie Ray, he is now an avid fan of Motorcross and he has retired full time from Professional Wrestling, but he still makes appearances in Independent Scenes

and that's your look @ 1998

A Year that WCW lost interest in the Tag Team Division
